27th April, 2007 - IAA Hold Protest March in Dublin.
In response to the continued inaction of the Department of Education on the issue of funding and recognition for ABA schools Irish Autism Action held a protest march on Friday 27th April. Participants marched to Leinster House to highlight the plight of children and adults with special needs.

18 May 2007 - Protest March in Dublin
The final judgement is to be delivered in the O’Cuanachain Case. To highlight the continued lack of services for children with autism and other special needs Irish Autism Action will hold a protest march from the Four Courts to the Department of Education at Marlborough Street in Dublin. Everyone is welcome to join in and show support.

The Keith Duffy Masquerade Ball 2006 was held in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in support of the IAA. A great time was had by all, thanks to everyone who supported the event.

Wicklow Lions Club make donation to Barnacoyle. Barnacoyle School and St. Catherine’s received a cash boost last week when they received a substantial donation.

The children return to Barnacoyle. St Catherine’s has committed to provide a service but SENO/NCSE has refused to fund six children.

Monday 28th August 2006
The SENO has written to the parents of the proposed primary class pupils suggesting potential places for the children, but refuses to use the same funding to provide placements for the children in Barnacoyle.

Thursday 3rd August 2006
The parents of the six children for the proposed primary class are distraught following meetings with the local Special Education Needs Organiser (SENO). The SENO has advised parents that he has no alternative placements to offer the children anywhere in Co Wicklow.

Thursday 27th July 2006
A member of the parents committee is advised by telephone by the National Council for Special Education that the Department of Education has instructed that a primary class at Barnacoyle will not be sanctioned.
